Seniors are often left out in this fast-paced, technology-driven era. Through the programme, Republic Polytechnic students empower seniors by picking up new digital literacy skills, thus enabling them to lead joyful, independent and inclusive lives.
This programme addresses the challenges seniors face in using technological gadgets. Topics include:
1. Understanding mobile devices
2. Using eCitizen services
3. Using Social Media and Mobile Commerce
4. Using the internet safely e.g. Identification of fake news
Mobile devices have become a necessity in our daily lives and is a tool to connect people. With Singapore’s growing ageing population, our Intergenerational Digital Literacy Programme hopes to enrich the lives of seniors and re-engage them with their family, community and society.
