Safer Internet Day 2017: Let’s Do What’s Right Online!
Safer Internet Day is all about gathering like-minded people to create a safer, better internet for everyone. Every year, on the second Tuesday of February, the whole world comes together to make the internet a better place. Safer Internet Day kicked off in Europe in 2004 and is celebrated by over 100 countries globally. The Media Literacy Concil spearheaded Singapore’s participation in 2013 and continues to celebrate the event each year through its Better Internet Campaign.
Based on our four core values of respect, empathy, responsibility and integrity , the Better Internet Campaign raises awareness of cyber wellness issues that affect all of us, and encourages internet users to unite and play their part in creating a safer, better internet for everyone.
